Crossbred by Cheng No. 05-3 bitter melon seed and Tailand LYH bitter melon seed. Good resistibility; early fruiting; set more melon; long time of harvest. Columniform melon, in brightly oil-green color; thick flesh; 28-35cm long, weight 600-1000g. Resistant to cold, moisture and heat; strong disease-resistance. Suitable for cultivation from Spring through Fall. 5000-6000kg of yield per acre. Endurant to storage and transportation. It is the advance variety at present.

Cultivation points:

For Spring cultivation, the seeds are usually sown during Spring Festival, proper sowing temperature is 15-32 degree celsius. Soak for sprouting and transplant after culture of seedling in seedbed. The seedbed should be covered with thin film to prevent frost. Before soaking, graze seeds by small sand, to get rid of the wax on shell, so as to benefit water-absorption and sprouting, and then soak in 40-50 degree celsius of warm water for 8-10 hours, then sprout under about 30 degree celsius condition.

Before setting, supply adequate base manure, mainly by organic manure. Avoid the field which previous crops is melon or solanaceous fruits. Make sure to supple adequate fertilizer and water during fruit setting period. When comes to high temperature and droughty weather, irrigate the melon field from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Avoid irrigation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
